FOODBANK SESSIONS AND CORONAVIRUS

19th March 2020

As the coronavirus pandemic unfolds in the UK, our main priority is ensuring the safety of everyone who comes to our foodbank – whether it’s someone needing help, someone volunteering their time, or someone making a donation.

We are working hard to make sure we are able to support our community during the coming weeks and months. Presently we are going to run all our sessions as usual and will be asking most clients to wait outside or in the entrance hall while we are serving the person ahead. We will be pre-packing food parcels so we can keep people waiting as little as possible.

Our opening times will stay the same:

  • Tuesday and Friday 1.30 -2.30pm both at St Michaels Church Hall, Church Street, South Normanton DE55 2BT
  • Wednesday 2-3pm at Alfreton House, High Street, Alfreton, DE55 7HH

If you need a voucher and are currently supported by one of our agencies they should be able to give you a paper voucher. If you don’t have anyone like that you can call Citizen’s Advice on 0300 456 8437, and they can give you advice or issue you with a voucher.
